Highlights:

  • Apple will start rolling out iOS 14.5 update next week.
  • IOS 14.5 has a lot of new features, but the one that’s being most closely watched is called ATT, or App Tracking Transparency.
  • It should be compatible with all iPhones that received iOS 14 update.

APPLE has confirmed a release date for its hotly-anticipated iOS 14.5 updates, which will include a redesigned Podcasts app, improvements, all-new emoji, and the ability to use Face ID to unlock your iPhone – even when wearing a face-covering.

The new update will also enhance the Apple Podcasts app with new UI and episode pages as well as a Search tab and emoji.

The arrival of iOS 14.5 will mark some big changes to the iPhone before Apple introduces iOS 15 at this year’s WWDC. Apple’s iOS 14.5 update got delayed, but it’s finally ready to be rolled out. For now, iOS 14.5 is now available as a public beta. Simply put, you can download it but the update may contain some bugs.

Features:

We are excited about the new iOS 14.5 update because it’s the biggest update to iOS 14. One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming iOS 14.5 update is it brings the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask.

There are a bunch of new features coming to your iPhone as part of iOS 14.5 like the ability to unlock your iPhone with an Apple Watch, expanded Siri voice options, App tracking transparency, new emojis, 5G global support for dual-SIM iPhones, updated game controller support, battery health recalibration for iPhone 11 models, and support for the newly announced AirTag trackers.

Smartphones on which latest update will be available

The iOS 14.5 update will be available to iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE (1st generation), iPhone SE (2nd generation), and iPod touch (7th generation).

Apple had already confirmed that its new iPhone 12 model would arrive with iOS 14.5 installed out-of-the-box. Since that hits store shelves on April 30, it’s not a huge surprise that iOS 14.5 will begin rolling out to existing iPhone owners worldwide a little before.
