Apple launched the iOS 15 iPhone software at the WWDC with enhance features and improvements

iOS 15

  • Apple announced the iOS 15 iPhone software at the WWDC on Monday.
  • The company brings a host of new features like iMessage, FaceTime, Apple Maps, and much more.
  • Apple has upgraded several iOS apps in its newly introduced iOS 15 version.

iOS 15 release date

Apple is yet to reveal the release date for the latest iOS. New versions of iOS typically land in mid-September. Generally, they’re accompanied by a new iPhone launch, so we could see iOS 15 land alongside the iPhone 13 in September 2021.

New Features:

iOS 15 makes FaceTime calls more natural, introduces SharePlay for shared experiences. FaceTime now comes with Voice Isolation. The feature will help give out a clear voice from a person in a video call. It will do so by reducing noise from the background.

SharePlay lets you synchronize watching videos or listening to music with everyone in a FaceTime call. Users can just press play in Apple Music, Apple TV, or any third-party app that implements this feature.

Another massive improvement to iOS 15, group chats now gain collages, as a way to easily display multiple images. Craig Federighi also demoed a feature where you can take a photo of text, and it will highlight it, and then copy it into a document, or even translate it. This is a direct competitor to Google Lens and looks to be very convenient if you take many photos or you have a holiday booked.
