According to sources, Apple is consistently working on its gadgets to give its users a never seen before experience. Now Apple team is sweating hard to make their dream of a foldable iPhone with a self-healing display in the real-world with some cool exciting features.
Self-healing display is the ultimate one:
That may fix the normal wear and tear by itself, including scratches and dents.
If reports have to be believed given by an AppleInsider, then it states that – an application named “Electronic Devices With Flexible Display Cover Layers” ensures a variety of ways for reducing the damage and doing something like healing itself when the damage occurs.
It hints at mixing rigid and flexible areas for a display and utilizing “self-healing.”
Apple‘s Patent Application said –
“An electronic device may have a hinge that allows the device to be flexed about a bend axis. A display may span the bend axis. To facilitate bending about the bend axis without damage. the display may include a display cover layer with a flexible portion,”
When Can It Come?
Nevertheless, the self-healing display feature may not be included in the first generation of foldable iPhones.
Since the company has already gone too far in series to order big with Samsung Display. for providing samples for the time duration of a minimum of 12 months.
Going by the claim from Ice Universe, it looks like Apple tested out those sample units. And ordered a fresh batch of foldable display samples from Samsung.
Since Samsung has first thought of such a concept and is an expert in this field. So this suggests that there can be many good business relations that may surface between two big brands. As it makes sense for Apple to rely on Samsung for supplying foldable displays.- the report said.
