Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson has spoken out on show’s ‘exciting’ return to filming.

The ITV serial drama has returned to filming, and members of the cast are back on set — recording six special episodes set during in lockdown — which means that the series will stay on air beyond the already completed episodes.

Filming got underway yesterday at Emmerdale’s studios in Leeds and safety protocols and social distancing measures will be strictly adhered to by the team on set. The six episodes in question will be recorded over a two-week period.

Executive Prodcuer Jane Hudson featured in a video posted on Emmerdale’s social media accounts — which was simply captioned with: ‘We. Are. BACK’ — where she spoke about the soap’s exciting return to filming.

She said: ‘Hi everyone, we’re back on set today! Back with Emmerdale, shooting our very special lockdown episodes.’

‘We’re currently on set with Aaron, working through our scenes. We’re social distancing on set and off-set, which is not easy but we’re getting used to it.’

‘Everyone feels great to be back, and we can’t wait to make some new episodes for you.’

Emmerdale continues Friday 22 May at 7pm on ITV.

Emmerdale spoilers: Shock love triangle for Wendy, Bob and Rishi?

Published

Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) apparently has feelings for Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) in Emmerdale, but it seems as if a case of mistaken identity is on the horizon, as Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) comes to believe that a love letter from Wendy to Bob is, in fact, meant for him!

Wendy pens a love letter for Bob, but for some reason, it ends up in Rishi’s possession, and he’s alarmed as a result, as he believed the note was intended for him.

Little does he know that it was meant for Bob, and therefore, Rishi shares the letter with the man it was intended for — who’s naturally shocked by what he reads.

(Picture: ITV)

Meanwhile, Wendy worries about whether or not Bob has read her letter, and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) encourages her to go and ask him.

It appears as if she takes the doctor’s advice, as she heads to The Woolpack to ask Bob about his feelings for her, but — thinking that Wendy has feelings fro Rishi — Bob denies the exeisnece of such feelings, which leaves Wendy devastated as a result.

As she hold back her tears, one can’t help but wonder if any potential for romance between her and Bob has been ruined?

One to watch: Wednesday 3 June at 7pm on ITV.

Emmerdale’s Charley Webb has got candid over her postnatal depression after giving birth to three sons, Buster, 10, Bowie, four and 10-month-old Ace Gene.

The actress, who shares her bambinos with co-star Matthew Wolfenden, has kept fans well up-to-date with her home life throughout all three of her pregnancies.

And things have been no different since she welcomed her latest addition, seeing the proud mum share a picture of her brood all together for the first time, just hours after Ace was born.

She told her Instagram followers: ‘I can’t lie, I find being pregnant really hard but at the same time, I do know how lucky I am to be able to fall pregnant pretty easily / at all.

‘I had horrendous sickness with all three of the boys which pretty much lasted my whole pregnancies. I found it so hard to be able to function, all I wanted to do was lie down and sleep. Something that gets harder when you’ve got others running around.’

The star continued: ‘I know it could have been a lot worse so I’m not complaining, I’m just being honest.

‘My births, on the other hand, have all been amazing. I suffered with postnatal depression after Buster which I didn’t realise at the time.’

Turning her attention to her eldest son, Charley explained: ‘With Bowie, I was so aware how I felt before that I really managed things much better. I made sure I got him in a routine really early on and for me, I think that helped me (I’m a bit of a control freak).

‘The jump from 2-3 I found the hardest. Luckily Ace is a really good baby but suddenly there’s more of them than there is of you.’

‘As I’ve got older (and had more babies) I’ve learnt that talking to friends and being honest with how I’m feeling has been the best thing for me,’ she stated. ‘That would be my biggest piece of advice, be honest, be truthful.

‘No feelings are wrong, no matter what they are. We all have good days and bad and that’s ok.’

Charley then urged her followers to share their own experiences as part of the My Expert Midwife campaign.

She explained: ‘For every story and experience about your journey to motherhood shared using the hashtag #myexpertmidwifeXpanda @My_Expertmidwife will donate £1 to @Pandas_UK to support women suffering and help end the stigma around maternal mental health.’

Fans were quick to comment and applauded the soapie’s bravery for opening up on her social media.

‘Thank you for being open and honest, can’t imagine how hard that must of been . Especially someone like yourself that is in the public eye,’ one wrote while another added: ‘That is such a lovely statement for mums to see as we are all human and just because they see you on tv doesn’t mean you don’t suffer.’

Someone else felt the same and told the star: ‘It’s really nice to read this I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and I’m suffering so much with sickness and obviously with the situation trying to homeschool two boys.’

Emmerdale spoilers: Andrea vows revenge on Jamie as she makes a discovery

Published

Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) was horrified in Emmerdale when she learned that Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) had been having an affair with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and therefore she resolved to win back her husband’s affection, but with that plan having evidently failed, she’s got revenge on her mind.

Andrea managed to convince Jamie to go away with her on holiday, so that she’d have enough alone time with him to win him back — without Belle getting in the way.

However, the impromptu trip doesn’t appear to have worked, as they return home in the coming episodes, and Jamie sets about talking to Belle — who refuses to talk to him, revealing that she’s tired of his false promises.

(Picture: ITV)

Mind you, she’s lost for words when he reveals that he’s hired a solicitor to initiate divorce proceedings.

Afterwards, Belle decides to open up about her previous relationship with a married man, Jermaine. Jamie promises her that he’s serious about their future together.

Meanwhile, Andrea checks out Jamie’s laptop and soon realises that the affair is still on-going.

Later, Jamie informs Andrea he’s spending the night at a work conference, but she knows he’s being unfaithful.

An emotional Andrea heads to Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) for support — revealing that Jamie is still seeing Belle.

Leyla suggests that Andrea should just dump him, but she’s not so sure that she can.

However, matters soon get worse and Andrea later vows revenge on her husband — and she recruits Leyla to help her.

But just what is it that she’s got in mind?
