Excitel Broadband Partners With Four OTT Players To Attract New Customers

  • Excitel has joined hands with four OTT players to offer multimedia benefits to its users.
  • Now, the company has launched a new offer to woo new customers towards its platform.
  • The bundled service will allow subscribers to access content from ZEE5, Voot, Eros Now, and ShemarooMe for free with Excitel’s 300 Mbps for 3 months plan.

Broadband service provider Excitel aims to add about 3 lakh new users this year and is undertaking a series of steps to woo subscribers, including partnering with OTT (Over-the-top) players like Zee5, Eros Now, and others.

The company has roped in ShemarooMe, ZEE5 Premium, Voot Select, and Eros Now. These OTT platforms are free and will be available for 90 days, even if a customer chooses low cost plan.

The company, which had about 5 lakh subscribers across 19 cities at the end of 2020, is also aggressively expanding FTTH (fiber to the home) deployment on its network.

Excitel Plans With OTT Subscriptions: Details

Excitel Broadband services are also offering ZEE5 Premium, Eros Now, and Voot Select platforms with their starting plan also that starts from 350 Rs.

If you take subscriptions of these OTT platfroms:

  • ZEE5 Premium, Voot Select, and Eros now would cost Rs 99 per month
  • ShemarooMe will cost rs 49 Rs per month.

The best part is that you will get subscriptions for three months.

How To Get OTT Services From Excitel Broadband Plans:

  • After activating the 300 Mbps plan, you will get a message from the company within 24 hours.
  • After that, you have to log in and write your details like your mobile number.
  • Then, you will get another message from the company, which says that your services are activated and you can watch all OTT apps;
  • However, you have to download the app and write your mobile number again.

The bundling of OTT services may not necessarily lead to a spike in user addition, it will also help in retaining customers.

The company will look at expanding the offering as well as partnering with more OTT companies to offer better services to their users.
