Marco Pierre White will give viewers a peek inside his lavish hotel in a new Channel 4 series, and some of the artwork on the walls is, erm, a bit ‘saucy’.

The new show, titled A Very British Hotel Chain: Inside Best Western, goes behind the scenes of Best Western International’s UK headquarters in York, as well as visiting hotels up and down the country.

In Tuesday night’s instalment, Best Western’s director of business development, Terii, is seen trying to secure chef Marco as the company’s first celebrity hotelier.

At the Rudloe Arms in Corsham, Wiltshire, where the former Hell’s Kitchen star also lives, Marco, reveals that his choice of art is too tasty for some.

In a first-look clip, Marco shows inside one of the bedrooms, which is adorned with saucy artworks, as he explained: ‘We had a couple last week that wanted to relocate, they didn’t like the pictures, but that’s fine.’

He added: ‘When you go away, it should be like going to someone’s house, that’s what I believe.’

In another room dedicated to the work of photographer David Bailey, the chef admitted: ‘Some people like it, some people are horrified by it’.

The Rudloe Arms also features many photos of its celebrity owner. ‘There’s nothing wrong with a bit of narcissism,’ explained Marco.

A Very British Hotel Chain: Inside Best Western is a three-part series that goes inside Britain’s largest independent hotel chain.

Marco Pierre White appears in A Very British Hotel Chain: Inside Best Western on Channel 4 at 9pm.
