Days after actress Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter handle was permanently suspended by Twitter for insensitive comments on post-election violence in West Bengal, Instagram has now deleted one of the actress posts where she talked about the ongoing pandemic.

She said:

“Covid -19 is nothing but small-time flu which got too much press and now psyching few people. She added that if you are scare, the virus will scare you more”.

Considering how the post is insensitive and scientifically inaccurate, Her remarks have been criticizing heavily in the comments for being insensitive and spreading unnecessary misinformation.

Soon after her post, she faced a lot of backlash for calling Covid-19 a ‘small-time flu’ as people tried to draw her attention to the surging number of cases and deaths in the country. People perceived her comment as insensitive as almost 3 lakh people have lost their lives in the country owing to the pandemic.

“Instagram deletes the post as some users were hurt. I had heard of terrorist and communist sympathizers on Twitter but the Covid fan club awesome… It’s been two days here on Instagram, but don’t think will last here more than a week.”

She often becomes the center of mockery as her controversial tweets do not go down well with the netizens.

Social media has become a scary place for controversy queen Kangana Ranaut. Twitter recently banned the actress’s account for violating the platform’s rules and posting controversial tweets. Now Instagram has taken down Ranaut’s post wherein she declared about being Covid-19 positive.

This is not the first time that she has expressed her displeasure at the Facebook-owned company. In March, she blames Instagram for reducing her followers by 5 lakh.
