Jharkhand to Suspend Mobile Internet for Five Hours on September 21-22 to Ensure Fair Recruitment Test

In an official move aimed at maintaining the integrity of the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE), the Jharkhand government has announced the suspension of mobile internet services for two consecutive days, September 21 and 22, 2024. The suspension will last from 8 AM to 1:30 PM on both days.

This decision was taken to curb potential malpractice during the exam, as the government aims to conduct a free, fair, and transparent recruitment process. Previous incidents have shown that individuals used platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and other mobile apps to engage in unfair practices during exams, prompting this preventive measure.

Over 6.4 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the exam across 823 centers throughout the state. The suspension of mobile internet is seen as a necessary step to prevent any digital communication that could lead to cheating or information leaks during the critical examination period.

The government urges citizens to plan accordingly during this temporary disruption in service, as it is crucial for ensuring the fairness of the competitive examination.

Additionally, similar measures have been seen in other states during important exams, highlighting a growing trend of governments temporarily halting mobile services to maintain the fairness of public examinations. In Jharkhand, the mobile service suspension underscores the government’s commitment to eliminating any potential loopholes and ensuring a free and fair recruitment process.

Citizens are advised to prepare for the temporary disruption in internet services during these hours and understand that the move is in the interest of ensuring integrity and transparency in the recruitment process.
