JioMeet adds three Indian languages

Highlights:

  • JioMeet gets three new Indian language options.
  • The app now supports Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati, in addition to English.
  • This new change is now available for users of the platform.

To make the video calling experience even better, JioMeet added the option of so many Indian languages. The new language options can be accessed via the Settings of the JioMeet app. Users can simply tap on the Langauge option in the Settings menu and choose the one they want to communicate in.

JioMeet has also announced the introduction of a new feature – JioMeet Webinar. The feature should help those who use video conferencing and streaming platforms for broadcasting to a wide audience. JioMeet users can now blur their backgrounds, which will make it easier for users to work. This feature is currently available for Android and iOS users and will soon be rolled out to other clients as well.

The meetings on JioMeet can be scheduled, password-protected, Waiting Room, screen-sharing feature, Safe Driving mode to video call while driving, multi-device support, and the ability to switch to another device with ease.

The company said in a statement:

“Along with the improvements which have been brought to the application in the past few months, this update seems to be in line with the mass-market adoption of the service as more and more Indians will be comfortable using it for work, education, and other video-conferencing requirements.”

“In addition to the regional languages support, JioMeet offers unmatched services with no limits on the call duration, HD audio-video quality while optimizing the overall app to ensure low data consumption keeping in mind the Indian consumer preferences,” the company said.

With JioMeet Webinar, the app offers users the ability to add branding, promotional, and sponsorship information for financial integration. It also allows users to stream their videos over the cloud in order to streamline hardware limitations. The platform can help users, directly link their accounts on Facebook and YouTube, and stream webinar sessions held on the app directly to the social platforms.
