Koo Application: India Twitter Alternative!! Piyush Goyal Promotes Koo

The Popularity of the Koo app increases overnight when Cabinet minister Piyush goyal Urge Users join the Koo app which is made under Aatmnirbhar Plan.

They said:

I am now on Koo. Connect with me on this Indian micro-blogging platform for real-time, exciting, and exclusive updates. Let us exchange our thoughts and ideas on Koo,” railways, commerce & industry, consumer affairs, and food and public distribution minister Piyush Goyal said in a tweet.

The application comes with a lot of similarities like Twitter as users can follow individuals and it also allows users to write messages in text or record and share them in audio or video formats.

Koo was among four apps that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called out on his radio show Mann Ki Baat (Inner thoughts).

Several followers of the Prime Minister – including those who have been followed by him on Twitter – have also joined the app recently.

Koo is in various local languages where people from different regions in India can express themselves in their mother tongue. It targets users between 25 and 30 years of age.

Reason For War Between Twitter and Indian Government

The government said the Twitter platform to block more than 1,000 accounts relating to farmers’ protests.

Twitter unblocking more than 250 accounts that had been suspended over the farmers’ protest without any Government approval in this regard.

The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY), in a notice issued to Twitter, said the company had violated an order to block 257 accounts associated with the farmers’ protest on the borders of Delhi.
