- Pokemon Go is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
- Developer Niantic is organizing a two-day Pokemon Go Fest 2021 from today.
- The two-day event will be open to all players globally.
Pokémon GO Fest is going to be huge in 2021, with activities for players around the globe! The event takes place on July 17 and 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time each day. Both days are packed full of awesome events, including Special Research story events and much more. Some activities will be available only to players who have purchased a ticket, but there’s also plenty of fun for players who haven’t purchased a ticket, too.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021 will offer exciting opportunities for Trainers around the world to complete research, catch Pokémon, and more. It will be a remote event that all players will be able to access on their phones by purchasing a ticket. There will be no physical location, similar to last year’s Pokémon GO Fest 2020.
Pokémon GO Fest 2021: Event Details
Players will have to purchase tickets worth Rs. 399 to enter the event. Those who have tickets will be able to collaborate with others in the Global Challenge Arena wherein Indian players can team up with trainers across the globe to complete hourly challenges.
Day 1, look forward to rotating habitats featuring a wide variety of Pokémon to battle and catch. The habitats—Fire, Water, Grass, Battle, and Friendship—will rotate hourly throughout the day. Trainers who have purchased a Pokémon Go Fest ticket can also join the Global Challenge Arena, where players around the world can work collaboratively to unlock rewards all day long. The events of Day 2 are still under wraps, but ticket holders can expect a special experience that day.
Pokemon GO Ultra Unlocks are a new type of reward in Pokemon Go, obtained when trainers team up in Pokemon GO Fest 2021 to complete special challenges each hour throughout the event. The first part of the Ultra Unlock will be available after eight global challenges are completed during GO Fest 2021. Once the first Ultra Unlock is available, trainers will have access to it from Friday, July 23 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. local time.
Niantic will also allow gamers to expand their Item Bag to 3,500 and users can pick it up Item Bag Upgrades from the shop. Meanwhile, trainers who missed out on last year’s anniversary celebrations will be able to take advantage of the Jump-Start Special Research to catch up with other trainers with extra Stardust and XP rewards as well as new Pokemon encounters.
