A new update brings more connectivity for gamers, that want to use wireless controllers with their iPhones, iPods, Apple TVs, and Macs. This would allow users to play their PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 games using the DualSense controller on their Apple devices via the PS Remote Play app.

How to connect your PS5 DualSense controller to iPhone or iPad?

iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 now support DualSense and Xbox controllers. To connect your DualSense controller with an Apple device, follow these steps:

  • To connect your controller to your iPhone or iPad, go to the Bluetooth settings.
  • When you put your controller in pairing mode it will show up under Other Devices. Select the controller and it will move up to My Devices when it’s successfully connected.

If you want to reconnect the DualSense controller with your PS5, connect it using the USB cable, press the PS button, and you’re all set.

Requirements:

1.) Any Apple device running iOS 12.1 or higher can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running iOS 13 or higher will experience Dualshock 4 wireless controller support via Bluetooth, and devices running iOS 14.5 or higher will be able to use DualSense wireless controller support via Bluetooth

2.) Windows PC devices running Windows 10 or higher will be able to use a Dualshock 4 or DualSense wireless controller via a wired connection.

3.) Mac devices running macOS Catalina or later will be able to use a Dualshock 4 via wired or wireless connection via Bluetooth support. Mac devices running macOS 11.3 or higher can use a DualSense wireless controller via wired or wireless connection.

The DualSense controller can use to play other games that support MFi compatible games.

With the latest update, you can start playing with your PlayStation console onTV, pause your game, ready to keep playing from exactly where you left it or You can switch on your PlayStation console and start playing directly from the app, with no need to ever switch on your TV.
