Apart from sharing snaps and stories, users now can use Spotlight to attract more followers on Snapchat!!!

Snapchat is ready to give a tough challenge to TikTok and Instagram reels. In order to compete with its rivals, Snapchat on Monday rolls out “Spotlight”, which would enable users to share short videos via the Snapchat application. Spotlight is not a standalone app like TikTok but it is a feature of Snapchat like Instagram reels.

The spotlight will occupy a different tab on Snapchat and as a result, users would have the ability to post short TikTok-like videos along with other Snapchat attires. “Today we’re introducing Spotlight to shine a light on the most entertaining Snaps created by the Snapchat community. Submit your best video Snaps to Spotlight for the opportunity to earn a share of more than $1 million that we’re distributing to creators every day,” the company said in a blog.

Just like Tiiktokers on Snapchat, you can also earn and if you get successful to attract more users to your videos then you can be a Snapchat creator. According to the company, it will distribute as much as $1 million between some of the popular creators on the app per day till the end of 2020. If you want to earn via Snapchat then you must have unique views on the videos you would post via Snapchat.

But keep in mind that you should be 16 or above to submit a video on Snapchat.

The spotlight will go live in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and France, with more countries coming soon. We could hope that India will also be on the list of countries where Snapchat will eventually launch Spotlight.
