AMC Networks’ streaming service Sundance Now has acquired U.S. rights to the eight-part Australian drama “Dangerous Moms” from distributor Pink Arrow Studios Worldwide.
A success for Australia’s 9 Community, “Dangerous Moms” explores trendy motherhood by means of 4 totally different girls as they juggle love, household, careers, infidelity — and homicide. The drama is produced by Jungle Leisure in affiliation with Filthy Productions.
It stars “Treadstone’s” Tess Haubrich, “Love Youngster’s” Mandy McElhinney, “Wonderland’s” Jessica Tovey, and “The Coronary heart Man’s” Shalom Brune-Franklin.
“Dangerous Moms” will make its U.S. premiere on Sundance Now on Could 7.
The collection has already offered to territories together with the U.Okay., France, Sweden, Center East and Africa.
The storyline sees Sarah’s (Tess Haubrich) seemingly good life as an area physician, mom and spouse come crashing down the second she discovers her husband having an affair along with her greatest buddy. When her buddy turns up lifeless, and her husband is arrested for her homicide, Sarah’s life spirals uncontrolled, and she or he finds unlikely assist from a ragtag group of mothers known as ‘The Dangerous Moms Membership’.

“Dangerous Moms” was created by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan, and written by Rachel Lang, Gavin Strawhan, Sarah Walker and Tim Lee. It was produced by Chole Rickard and Steven Zanosk, and directed by Geoff Bennett, Sian Davies and Catriona MacKenzie.
