‘Tinder user met woman for a date – then murdered her’

An man used Tinder to arrange a date with a woman – then killed her, police said.

Ethan Hunsaker, 24, was arrested and charged with the murder of a 25-year-old woman in Layton, Utah over the weekend.

Police say Hunsaker used the dating app to meet the woman, who has not been named, just hours before he allegedly killed her.

After the murder, Hunsaker reportedly called police and told them he had a person inside his house on North Reid Avenue. Officers responded to the call and found the woman on the floor of Hunsaker’s home with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘The motive behind this homicide is under further investigation, however, the attack appears to have been unprovoked,’ the Layton Police Department said in a press release.

Hunsaker is set to be booked into Davis County Jail on one count of first-degree felony murder.

Police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.
