  • Users can choose a darker shade of Green.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been working on a lot of exciting features. The latest feature that WhatsApp was spotted testing would let the users change colors in the app.

According to a tweet shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users might be able to change colors in the chatbox and pick a darker shade of green for the text on the screen.

According to some reports, this feature is already in the testing phase and the screenshots provided of this feature from the testing phase are very much similar to that of Telegram themes. The details of this feature haven’t been released yet, but if it is in the development phase then that means it will become available to the general public as well.

Other New Features apart from WhatsApp change the app colors feature:

  • WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will allow users to change the playback speed of voice messages at their convenience.
  • The ability to use WhatsApp Web without having to keep their phones connected to the Internet. Users will have the ability to mute the audio in their stories before they are uploaded to the app.
  • “WhatsApp is working on “Support Chat Threads“: They will help you and WhatsApp to manage bug reports. Support Threads are verified end-to-end encrypted chats and they’ll be closed after the issue is fixed.
  • WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a WhatsApp Web Beta program for iOS users. This same feature was spotted for Android users in January and is now being developed for an iOS beta version.

Encrypted Chat Backup

While WhatsApp chats have end-to-end encryption, the backup of these chats is either stored in smartphones or Google Drive, which is not end-to-end encrypted. However, WhatsApp is planning to introduce a new encrypted chat backup option. This encrypted chat backup feature will improve user privacy and save their accounts from getting hacked and having their data leaked.
